Art is a feeling, an interpretation. Art moves you. No matter the style, technique, or medium, a piece of art must connect with the viewer. It must draw them in to search for a true meaning. Is one meaning truer than another?...
When the viewer can find beauty in the simplest of things, the artist has accomplished the task at hand. Art is not what the critic thinks, it is not what the newspaper says, nor is it what your friend believes, art is what you feel. It is your interpretation of beauty. Within my art, one strives to bring beauty in many forms. Forms in which depict feelings, feelings of sympathy, joy, and sadness among many others. This is the solid foundation for which one builds his paintings. Similar to the construction of a building, my portraits house within many meanings for interpretation. From the windows of the soul to the exterior expression, the painting offers many passages to conclude a diverse range of thoughts. Upon exiting the painting, one will forego predisposed thoughts and form their own feelings about the artwork.
Art is what you make of it.
